Tour 1d - Hidden Gem & Beach
First we stop at Duong No Village to visit Ho Chi Minh's childhood home, then we follow the perfume river east to the coast stopping at Thuan An Beach, a splendid lagoon lovely for beachcombing.
Leaving the beach the road winds along with the lagoon on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through villages with stacks of enormous nuoc mam (fish sauce) jars lining the outer walls of many houses.
The highlight of our day is the "City of Tombs" colourful and opulent graves and family temples lining the ocean side of the road, there are thousands upon thousands of them.

This Baby Boomer had a ball in Hue! If you want to get off the beaten tourist track, if you want to savour the sights and smells of real life outside the city, take a motor cycle trip into the countryside.
I did, and it was a day I will never forget. Quy from Hue Riders was my guide for the day. He is an excellent driver, thoughtful and considerate, and a hive of information. Over a relaxing seafood lunch at the beach and coffee at stops along the way in places rarely visited by tourists, he explained the history and customs of the area and shared some stories of his life and family. This made the trip extra special for me. Of course the sights were fantastic - the Perfume river, the rice fields and vegetable gardens, Thuan An beach, villages producing fish sauce, a relatively recently discovered Cham monument ruin, the centuries old Thanh Toan covered bridge and adjacent rice museum, and the most
extraordinary sight of all: the mind blowing City of tombs. It was a great day! Thanks Hue Riders and thanks Quy.

I have had a brilliant time. I didn't know it until i met you but a trip in the mountains on your motorbike was just what I wanted to do. I have smiled the whole way, I would love to go further but unfortunatley I don't have time. Hung is a great guide, he is knowledgeable and a safe rider. If you read this and are not sure take a day trip with him. I have seen and experienced things that I would not have if i hadn't met Hung. This is a definate highlight of my holiday and will be the part i remember most. Thanks so much, Jenny

Thank you so much for the amazing adventure accross central Vietnam. For me, this motorbike trip has been the highlight of my travels in Vietnam. For anyone comtemplating an adventure with HueRiders, take the time to see Vietnam by motorbike...from Hue to Dalat...or customize your adventure with them. It is an understatement just to say it will be an adventure you will never forget.
